Matthew Mottola has been leading the freelance economy for over 10 years. By personally experiencing this economy on all sides, Matthew has become a trusted global source for freelance leaders, spanning entrepreneurs, executive teams, investors, policy makers, and media.
Under Mottola’s leadership, Human Cloud has published the Human Cloud book with HarperCollins, built the #1 global podcast for the freelance category, opened the largest global freelance conference, and launched Freelance Trend Tracker, the largest database of freelance economy sentiment.
Alongside Human Cloud, Matthew speaks, invests, guest lectures at Georgia Tech, and contributes in Entrepreneur on the leadership, technology, and the future of work.
Prior, Matthew founded Venture L, a venture backed freelancer SaaS, led the Microsoft 365 freelance toolkit, a tech stack enabling enterprises to scale freelance programs over $100m, was early at Gigster, Silicon Valley’s leading software development freelancer network, and freelanced himself for over 10 years.
