Human Cloud’s Head of Partnerships, Paul Polo, was recently featured in Refresh Miami for earning the Miami Tech Talent Coalition’s Career Connection Champion.
Through the Miami Tech Talent Coalition’s Small Business Capacity Building Pilot, Human Cloud is helping connect local talent with small businesses in Miami.
Paul previously led the Micro-Intership Program in partnership with Florida International University’s Honors College and Parker Dewey.
According to Riley Kaminer of Refresh, “The impact of the Human Cloud FIU Honors Micro-Internship Program, in partnership with Parker Dewey, is already clear. $64,120 went toward 112+ FIU students that completed projects at an average of $280 per project across the 229 micro-internships. 62 organizations hired students for projects, startups, non-profits, small businesses, and large corporations like Microsoft. 54% of students that signed up are first-generation college students, and 88% of students who signed up come from a minority demographic. Oftentimes, these Micro-Internships also lead to longer-term internships and better jobs.”
